Welcome to the CYO of Staten Island

Welcome Staten Island

CYO Coordinators, Coaches, Parents, Players

The mission of CYO is to provide the highest quality programs to our young people. We are committed to provide these programs based on integrity, fair play and the right of all individuals to participate. We view our responsibility as extending far beyond the mere teaching of athletic skills. Our programs offer the opportunity to develop moral standards in all of our young people.

Thank you all for being part of the CYO community. It is through the commitment, time and effort of our volunteers and participants that we are able to achieve the CYO mission. This Staten Island County CYO League website is sponsored by the NY Archdiocese Catholic Youth Organization with the intention of enhancing the CYO experience for all involved.

With CYO parish tryouts are around the corner ,  we just wanted to remind everyone

CYO Staten Island Eligibility Rules

The Catholic/Private School the child attends as a full time student .

The home address where the child lives ( must be same address that is on file with the school child attends)

If the Child has played with your parish the previous season .

Non-Catholics MUST PLAY in parish boundaries (where they live) unless otherwise placed by the CYO office .

If the child does not meet any of the above criteria you SHOULD NOT have them tryout for your parish .

Please send them to the CYO Office (718-448-4949) email: mneely@mountloretto.org

Any other  cases(no team for the child at your parish/ players getting “cut” ) must come to our office and we will place the child.

Coordinators, Please DO NOT send them to another parish. The CYO will take care of placement.

The CYO Staten Island County Director has the FINAL SAY regarding all player eligibility.

We appreciate your full cooperation with this matter.

Following these guidelines will help make teams/parishes stronger and give our league better competition .
